Hey jatt, thanks for your comment! I agree that the Jays need to seriously consider offers for Vernon, as much as we all like him. The Dodgers have Penny available as well as a deep farm system. They could match up. I'd prefer to see the Jays get Garland.

There's some very speculative talk about a possible three-way trade, involving the Jays, Dodgers or Angels, and the A's. Dan Haren would look good in a Jays uniform...

Gagne is a free agent, so the Jays won't be getting him in a trade and I doubt they will pursue him with B.J. in the 'pen.

I think the Blue Jays should seriously consider trading Vernon Wells to the Dodgers. We can get good quality pitching. Blue Jays getting pitchers like Brad Penny and Eric Gagne should be one hell of a deal!! Getting both of them might also take another player along with Wells to complete the trade. Putting Penny in the starting rotation and Gagne in the bullpen can put the Blue Jays into the payoffs.
1) Roy Halladay
2) AJ Burnett
3) Brad Penny
4) Gustavo Chacin
5) Josh Towers (If he is not terrible like this year goin 2-9)
AND
Eric Gagne just before BJ Ryan
