Switch pitcher Venditte inspires new rule

When ambidexterious pitcher Pat Venditte takes the mound versus a switch hitter, each player must make a decision about their approach, and now they'll have to stick with that decision throughout the at-bat. On Friday, Venditte and switch hitter Ralph Henriquez hopped back and forth several times between lefty and righty until finally the umps declared that the pitcher and batter can change sides only one time per at-bat.

Both Fox Sports and the CBC reported the story, but neither of the networks described Venditte's unique 6-fingered glove. For more about this, check out CBS' College Sports Network which produced this video profile of Venditte a year ago:
