Zim does it again!
Bedlam in Washington! Ryan Zimmerman just hit a walk-off, 3-run homer to win this July 4th home game against the Marlins, 6-4. That's the second time Zim has pulled off these dramatics in the past 3 weeks: he hit a 2-run walk off homer versus the Yankees a couple of weeks ago. Rookie of the [...]
Ramon Ortiz pinch running
I'm listening to the Nationals/Marlins game. Marlins lead it 2-1 in the 5th. The Nationals just brought in pitcher Ramon Ortiz… to pinch run for Matt LeCroy! Nats miserable against Jays
Wow, last night's Nationals / Blue Jays game was a travesty for Washington! A.J. Burnett pitched a complete game shutout with 7 SOs (92 total pitches), and the Nationals committed 3 errors. Final score, 6-0. Both Daryle Ward and Mike Stanton were no-shows (due to travel problems) and will be fined. These days, it's hard [...]

Nationals start new chapter on the right foot
The sale of the Washington Nationals has been approved by MLB owners. To celebrate, the Nationals had a field day against the Cubs and pitcher Kerry Wood in his return from the DL.
Griffey back with a blast
What a game! Zach Day had a great outing. Bronson Arroyo also pitched extremely well for the Reds, shutting out the Nationals until the 9th inning, when Matt LeCroy hit a sac fly to bring home the tying run. A 1-1 tie put the game into extra innings.
An eye opening Nats' stat
The Nationals have committed a whopping 35 errors in 21 Spring Training games–ouch!
